End caps with hole — cabling from the end of the profile

This model of end caps has an opening through which the LED strip's power cable can be neatly routed into the profile. This is a practical solution when wiring cannot be hidden behind or on the side of the profile.

If the wiring comes from behind the profile and not from the ends, choose the basic model end caps without a hole.

What profile is this accessory suitable for?

This accessory is specifically designed for the LS AY-PW02/UW/39X26/14 profile (Ledvance wide U-aluminium profile for 14mm LED strips). The dimensions are tailored exactly to this profile.

The profile itself is available in 1m and 2m lengths — check it out here. Other profile models (narrower or different shapes) have their own dedicated accessories.

Why is the accessory a custom-order product and why is the delivery time 3–4 weeks?

Ledvance's LED strip profile family and its accessories are specialized products that are not continuously stocked in Finland. We order them directly from Ledvance's manufacturing or distribution center, which typically takes 3–4 weeks.

If you have time constraints with the installation, it is advisable to order all necessary parts (profile, end caps, brackets, diffuser, LED strip, driver) at once to avoid delivery time delaying the project.

What other supplies should I order at the same time?

A typical complete aluminium profile installation includes:

  • Aluminium profile (main part, 1m or 2m)
  • End caps 2 pcs (basic model or with a hole)
  • Mounting clips 2 pcs (minimum, more for longer profiles)
  • Diffuser (clear or frosted)
  • LED strip and a compatible LED driver

Ordering everything at once minimizes delivery time and project delays.

When should one choose end pieces with a hole instead of the basic model?

The choice depends on where the LED strip's power cable enters the profile:

  • End caps with a hole (this one): when the wiring comes from the end of the profile — e.g., at the end of a hallway where cabling cannot come from anywhere else
  • End caps without a hole: when the wiring comes from the back or side of the profile — e.g., through an opening made in the wall

Check the installation location before purchasing. The latter option looks tidier when the wiring cannot be hidden inside the end of the profile.
