G53 Spotlamps

The G53 base is the base for AR111 spotlights – not to be confused with the GU5.3 base, which is smaller for MR16 lamps. The AR111 is a 111mm diameter wide spotlight used in gallery spotlights, shop lighting and architectural lighting.

Which AR111 lamp is right for me? The choice is made according to the beam angle depending on the intended use: 8° is a very narrow spotlight for a single object such as painting lighting, 24° is the most common spot light angle for product lighting and galleries, and 40–45° is suitable for wider general lighting. The color temperature of 2800–3000K produces a warm light that is ideal for art and interior lighting.

Do you need a transformer? Yes – AR111 G53 lamps operate on 12V, so you will need a 230V→12V transformer. Check the transformer wattage of your lamp before ordering: a 35W lamp requires at least a 35W transformer, but it is recommended that the transformer be slightly higher than the lamp wattage.
