Compatibility and installation
Direct replacement — simple installation
This HF model is designed for direct replacement of existing T5 fluorescent tubes in luminaires with an electronic HF ballast (EVG / ECG). Installation is:
- Turn off power
- Remove old T5 fluorescent tube
- Install new LED tube into the same holder
- Turn on power
No rewiring or removal of choke, starter, or ballast is required — everything remains as is.

AC vs HF — when to choose which?

Replaces 39W T5 fluorescent tube
This 18W LED tube matches the lighting efficiency of a traditional 39W T5 fluorescent tube. Energy savings are approximately 54%, and the LED tube has a lifespan of up to 60,000 hours — more than double the lifespan of a traditional fluorescent tube (12,000–24,000 h). The length of 849 mm corresponds to the standard length of a 39W T5 fluorescent tube.
Shatter protection — use in food and healthcare industries
The glass light tube of this lamp is protected by a special PET coating that contains glass fragments if the lamp breaks. This makes the lamp suitable for areas where broken glass could be a health hazard:

Low flicker — for office use

Accurate color consistency — ≤ 5 SDCM
Color consistency (SDCM, Standard Deviation of Color Matching) is ≤ 5, which is a premium level. When several lamps are installed side-by-side (e.g., office ceiling lighting or supermarket ceiling lighting), their color tone is very consistent — no visible differences between different lamps.
Also suitable for low temperatures
The operating temperature of −20…+45 °C covers all Finnish conditions. The lamp lights up at full power immediately even in cold environments, which is important for cold storage, outdoor shelters, and industrial halls, for example.
Limited outdoor use
The lamp's protection class is IP20 (indoor use), but outdoor use is possible in moisture-protected luminaires (IP44 or better).
Not suitable for emergency lighting luminaires
