The Sylvania RefLED ES50 7W is the most powerful model in the RefLED basic series. With a power output of 7 W, the lamp produces up to 600 lm of light and replaces a traditional 85 W halogen lamp — making it ideal for spaces requiring brighter general lighting. The luminous efficacy of 87 lm/W is good for an affordable basic series, and it is available in two color temperatures (3000K and 4000K).

Most powerful model in the RefLED ES50 series

This is the most powerful version of the RefLED ES50 basic series. A luminous flux of 580–600 lm is enough to replace up to an 85 W halogen lamp, making this a good choice for spaces requiring brighter general lighting — e.g., kitchens, corridors, or storage rooms.

Energy saving

7 W power replaces an 85 W halogen — energy savings are over 90%. A lifespan of 15,000 hours also brings replacement savings compared to halogen.

Wide 110° beam angle

Provides a wide general light, not a spotlight. Well-suited for spaces where uniform lighting is desired over a larger area.

Not dimmable

Do not connect to a dimmer. If you need a dimmable option, choose a product from the RefLED Retro DIM or Superia Retro DIM series.

Does this LED bulb replace an old 85W GU10 halogen bulb?

Yes. This LED bulb is designed as a direct replacement for an 85W GU10 halogen lamp. The base is the same GU10, the dimensions (Ø 50 mm × 54 mm) are in line with the halogen lamp standard, and the light output matches the previous halogen.

You can install the LED directly into the same fixture as the old halogen without any modifications. Energy savings are typically over 80% compared to halogen, and the LED bulb's lifespan (15,000 hours) is many times longer than that of a halogen.

What color temperature options are available?

This lamp is available in the following color temperatures: 3000K/4000K.

  • 3000K: warm white — cozy and relaxing, suitable for homes
  • 4000K: neutral white — clear and supportive for work, suitable for offices

Choose the color temperature during the order process via the variant selection. 3000K is recommended for most households.

Is this lamp dimmable?

No. This is a non-dimmable LED lamp - do not connect it to a dimmer.

When connected to a dimmer, a non-dimmable LED may flicker, fail to operate, or become damaged. If you need a dimmable GU10 lamp, look for a model specifically marked "DIM" in our products - e.g., Sylvania's dimmable RefLED Retro series lamps.
