The Sylvania RefLED ES50 6.2W is a slightly more powerful version of the basic RefLED series GU10 lamp. With a power of 6.2W, the lamp produces 450 lm of light and replaces a traditional 60W halogen lamp. The luminous efficacy of 73 lm/W is typical for an affordable basic LED series. Available in two colour temperatures (3000K and 4000K).

GU10 base. 230 V mains voltage. Not dimmable. Beam angle 110° — wide general light, not a spotlight.

Compatibility and installation

Direct replacement for 60W halogen

This LED lamp replaces a 60W GU10 halogen lamp as a standard-sized direct replacement. The base is GU10, dimensions fit a halogen luminaire. You can install the LED directly in place of the old halogen.

Energy saving

6.2 W power replaces a 60 W halogen — energy saving is about 90%. The lifespan of 15,000 hours is about 7 times that of a halogen.

Wide 110° beam angle

The 110° beam angle provides wide general light, not a spotlight. Suitable for general lighting — corridors, hallways, storage rooms. For spotlighting (e.g., artworks or product accentuation), choose a narrower 36° beam angle LED separately.

Not dimmable

Do not connect to a dimmer — when connected to a dimmer, the lamp may flicker or be damaged. If you need a dimmable GU10 lamp, choose a product from the RefLED Retro or Superia Retro DIM series.

More powerful sister model

Does this LED lamp replace an old 60W GU10 halogen lamp?

Yes. This LED bulb is designed as a direct replacement for a 60W GU10 halogen bulb. The base is the same GU10, the dimensions (Ø 50 mm × 54 mm) comply with the halogen bulb standard, and the light output matches the previous halogen.

You can install the LED directly into the same fixture in place of the old halogen without any modifications. Energy savings are typically over 80% compared to halogen, and the LED bulb's lifespan (15,000 hours) is many times longer than that of a halogen.

What color temperature options are available?

This lamp is available in the following color temperatures: 3000K/4000K.

  • 3000K: warm white — cozy and relaxing, suitable for homes
  • 4000K: neutral white — clear and supportive for work, suitable for offices

Choose the color temperature during the order process via the variant selection. 3000K is recommended for most households.

Is this lamp dimmable?

No. This is a non-dimmable LED lamp—do not connect it to a dimmer.

When connected to a dimmer, a non-dimmable LED may flicker, fail to operate, or become damaged. If you require a dimmable GU10 lamp, please look for a model specifically marked "DIM" among our products—for example, Sylvania's dimmable RefLED Retro series lamps.

How do the Sylvania series differ from each other?
