The LED driver is a dimmable constant current power supply that provides a constant current of 350 mA regardless of load fluctuations. The output voltage is 18–35 V and the power is 12 W, making the device suitable for LED luminaires and circuits that require a fixed current to function correctly. Dimming can be achieved with both leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers (TRIAC and sine wave cutting).

Constant current power supply, 350 mA. Output voltage 18–35 V. For indoor use. Dimmable with TRIAC leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers.

Compatibility and installation

Constant current power supply — fixed 350 mA current

This is a constant current (CC) power supply, which always provides the same 350 mA current to the load regardless of voltage fluctuations. A constant current power supply is suitable for LED luminaires designed for a fixed current — this prevents overloading of the LEDs and extends their lifespan.

The suitable load is an LED luminaire or LED module with a voltage between 18–35 V and a current consumption of 350 mA. Check the technical specifications of the LED luminaire before installation.

Dimming — TRIAC leading edge and trailing edge

The driver supports dimming with the following technologies:

  • TRIAC leading-edge dimming — traditional mains voltage dimming, the most common type of dimmer
  • TRIAC trailing-edge dimming — more modern, smoother dimming
  • Sine wave cutting — phase-cut dimming

The device DOES NOT support: 0–10 V, 1–10 V, DALI, DMX, DSI, Zigbee, RF dimming, or Touch and Dim control. If you are using any of these control standards, select a suitable driver separately.

For indoor use

The driver is not IP-rated for outdoor use, so it should be installed indoors or in a separately protected outdoor enclosure. Protect the device from moisture and dust.

Installation

Electrical connections may only be made by a qualified electrician in accordance with current regulations. The compact size of the device (109 × 40 × 22 mm) facilitates placement, for example, in a suspended ceiling or inside a cable duct.

Installation checklist

  1. Check that the voltage of the LED load is 18–35 V and the current is 350 mA
  2. Check that the dimmer used is a TRIAC or sine wave cutting type
  3. Turn off the power at the main switch
  4. Have an electrician connect the driver to the mains voltage and the LED load
  5. Install the device in a protected location where it is not exposed to moisture
  6. Turn on the power and test the dimming

What is the difference between constant current and constant voltage sources?

There are two main types of LED drivers:

  • Constant Current (CC, this one): Provides a fixed current (e.g., 350 mA), with voltage varying according to the load. Suitable for LED luminaires designed for a fixed current — individual LEDs, COB lights, many downlights.
  • Constant Voltage (CV): Provides a fixed voltage (e.g., 12 V or 24 V), with current varying. Suitable for LED strips and modules with integrated current limiting.

Check the technical specifications of the LED luminaire before purchase — it will indicate which type of driver is needed. Using the wrong type of driver can damage the LEDs.

Which LED lights is this power supply suitable for?

This driver is suitable for LED luminaires with:

  • Constant current operation (CC, not constant voltage)
  • Output voltage 18–35 V — check the LED luminaire's voltage range
  • Output current 350 mA
  • Power max 12 W

Typical applications include individual LED downlights and spotlights that require an external constant current power supply. Check the exact technical requirements of the luminaire before connecting.

What dimmers can be used with this?

The control gear supports TRIAC-based dimming:

  • TRIAC leading-edge dimming — traditional phase-cut dimming, most older dimmers
  • TRIAC trailing-edge dimming — more modern, produces smoother dimming
  • Sine wave clipping — phase-cut dimming

NOT compatible with 0-10V, 1-10V, DALI, DMX, Zigbee, or RF dimming systems. If you are using one of these, please choose a compatible LED driver separately. Turn off the power and try with a smaller load first — not all dimmers work perfectly with all LED loads.

Is the power supply suitable for outdoor use?

Not without additional protection. This power supply unit is designed for indoor use – it does not have an IP rating that would allow direct installation outdoors or in humid environments.

If you wish to use the power supply unit outdoors, install it in a separate protective enclosure (e.g., an IP65-rated electrical box) that will shield it from moisture and dust. In such a case, the power supply unit can be placed close to the outdoor LED luminaire.
