When you want to replace a fluorescent tube (T8) with an LED tube for better light quality, a challenging operating environment (such as a cold storage area), or a long operating life, an LED tube is the right choice. LED tubes are suitable for replacing fluorescent tubes of the same length as-is; only the traditional starter needs to be replaced with the LED starter included in the package. The 59 cm tube is not suitable for twin-lamp fixtures where the lamps share a ballast. LED tubes are suitable for fixtures with traditional magnetic ballasts and for direct connection.
