The Tungsram T8 LED tube replaces a traditional 58W fluorescent tube and produces 3650 lumens of neutral 4000K light with just 23.5 watts. The tube is 1500 mm long and is suitable for G13 base fixtures in places such as warehouses, garages, basements, and workspaces. It comes with an LED starter, which replaces the old fluorescent tube starter in traditional ballast and starter fixtures.

Compatibility and installation

The tube is suitable for traditional ballast and starter fixtures: replace the old starter with the included LED starter. If the fixture has an electronic ballast (HF), the wiring must be modified, and this work should be left to an electrician. The tube is not dimmable.

Installation checklist:

  1. Switch off the power at the fuse before changing the tube.
  2. Remove the old fluorescent tube and its starter.
  3. Install the included LED starter in place of the old one and twist the LED tube into the G13 holder.
  4. If the fixture has an electronic ballast (HF), leave the wiring modification to an electrician.

Which pipe does this replace?

This T8 LED tube replaces a traditional 58-watt fluorescent tube with a length of 1500 mm and a G13 base. It provides 3650 lumens of neutral 4000 K light and lasts up to 50,000 hours. An LED starter is included for installation.

Does the tube fit all fluorescent light fixtures?

The tube is suitable for direct use in traditional ballast and starter luminaires: replace the old starter with the included LED starter. If the luminaire has an electronic ballast (HF), the wiring must be modified, and the work should be left to an electrician. Check the luminaire type before installation.

How much energy will I save compared to a fluorescent tube?

This tube consumes 23.5 watts and replaces a 58-watt fluorescent tube, reducing energy consumption by approximately 60 percent with the same or better light output. The LED also lasts significantly longer than a fluorescent tube, which extends the replacement interval and reduces maintenance costs.

Can the tube be dimmed?

No. This LED tube is not dimmable, so do not install it in a fixture controlled by a dimmer. If you need adjustable light, choose a model that is specifically marked as dimmable.
