The R7s heat lamp is a heater, not a light source: it produces infrared radiation that heats objects directly without the need to heat the air in the entire room. This 2000-watt model is the most powerful R7s heat lamp in our range and is used in applications where heat needs to be delivered quickly to a limited area – for drying, shrinking, and industrial process heating. The lamp is dimmable, allowing the output to be adjusted according to the process.

Base R7s · 2000 W · 235 V · total length 351 mm · dimmable · infrared heat

Hot surface: The heat lamp produces intense infrared heat, and its surface becomes extremely hot. Keep flammable materials away and allow the lamp to cool down before handling.

Made-to-order product: delivery time approximately 4–6 weeks.

Technical specifications

  • Base: R7s (double-ended, spring-loaded)
  • Power: 2000 W
  • Voltage: 235 V
  • Total length: 351 mm
  • Dimmable: yes
  • Application: heating, not for lighting
  • Manufacturer code: 235V-0826
Compatibility and installation

The R7s lamp is installed by compressing it between the fixture's spring clips. The decisive dimension is the total length of the lamp: 351 mm will not fit in 333 mm or 256 mm fixtures, as the distance between the clips is fixed.

Do not touch the glass with bare fingers. Skin oils will remain on the surface and can shorten the lamp's service life. Use a clean cloth or gloves.

  1. Measure the old lamp from end to end and compare the reading to 351 mm.
  2. Check the fixture's maximum allowed wattage – 2000 W is a high load.
  3. Turn off the power and allow the old lamp to cool down completely.
  4. Compress the new lamp between the clips while handling it with a cloth.

Electrical connection and power control work must be performed by a qualified electrician. You can find our warranty terms here.

Usein kysytyt kysymykset

Is an R7s heat lamp suitable for lighting?

No. Although the bulb glows visibly, it is designed to produce heat rather than light, and no lumen value is provided for it. For lighting purposes, you should choose a dedicated light source, such as an R7s-base LED bulb. The strength of a heat lamp is that it heats the object directly without delay.

Why is the length of the lamp so important?

The R7s lamp is compressed between the fixture's spring clips, and the distance between the clips is fixed. Therefore, a 351-millimeter lamp only fits a 351-millimeter space. A lamp that is too short will not stay in place, and one that is too long will not fit. Measure your old lamp from end to end before ordering.

Can the heat lamp's power be adjusted?

Yes, this model is marked as dimmable, meaning the heating power can be adjusted with a suitable controller or dimmer. This is useful in processes where the amount of heat needs to be adjusted according to the object. Sizing the controller for a 2000-watt load and the actual installation must be performed by a qualified electrician.

Is there an LED alternative to a heat lamp?

No, it is not. LED technology has been developed to produce light with as little waste heat as possible, which is the exact opposite of what is expected from a heat lamp. If the goal is to provide heat, the right choice is an infrared heat lamp or another type of heater. The LED option is only suitable when you want light from the source.
