This 1000-watt R7s heat lamp is the medium-power model in the series: it provides significantly more heat than the 500-watt version but is a more moderate load than the 2000-watt lamp. Typical applications include drying, coating curing, and industrial spot heating where heat is required in a precisely defined area. Dimmability allows for power adjustment according to the work stage.

Compatibility and installation

Always choose a lamp based on its length: 333 mm is only suitable for a 333-millimeter slot, as the distance between the spring clips is fixed. Power should be selected only after the length, within the limits permitted by the fixture.

Do not touch the glass with bare fingers. Use a clean cloth or gloves.

  1. Measure the old lamp from end to end and compare the reading to 333 millimeters.
  2. Check the maximum permitted power marked on the fixture.
  3. Switch off the power and allow the old lamp to cool down.
  4. Press the new lamp between the holders while handling it with a cloth.

Wiring work must be performed by a qualified electrician.

Does a 333 mm lamp fit in a 351 mm fixture?

That won't work. The distance between the spring clips of an R7s fixture is fixed, so the lamp must be the exact length. A 333 mm lamp will be loose in a 351 mm slot and will not stay in the clips. Measure your old lamp from end to end to ensure you find the correct size.

How do I choose the right wattage for a heat lamp?

First, choose the length based on the lamp, as this is an absolute constraint. Then, check the maximum permitted wattage marked on the lamp: this must not be exceeded. Within these limits, higher wattage means faster heating, while lower wattage means more even, controlled heat. With a dimmable model, you can also adjust the power downward as needed.

Can a heat lamp withstand continuous use?

Heat lamps are intended for repeated use, but their service life is shortened if they are switched on and off very frequently or if they are exposed to vibration. The lifespan of the lamp is extended by not touching the glass with bare fingers and by ensuring the luminaire has proper ventilation. An exact burning life is not specified in the product information.

What does code 235V-0170 mean?

It is the manufacturer's own product code, which distinguishes this specific combination of length and power from other lamps in the series.
