This clear P45-style (round) E14 halogen bulb provides a warm 2700 Kelvin light and is suitable for standard E14 light fixtures, such as decorative, mirror, and wall lights. The bulb operates directly on 240 V mains voltage and is dimmable with a standard dimmer. If you prefer lower energy consumption, LED bulbs are also available for the same E14 base.

Compatibility and installation

The bulb operates directly on 240 V mains voltage in a standard E14 screw base. The halogen is dimmable with a standard dimmer.

Installation checklist:

  1. Check that the fixture has an E14 screw base.
  2. Switch off the power and let the old bulb cool down before replacing it.
  3. Do not touch the glass with bare fingers; use a cloth or gloves.
  4. Screw the bulb into place gently and do not overtighten.

Which bulb does this replace?

This is a 28-watt P45-style E14 halogen lamp, which replaces a corresponding old E14 halogen. It provides 370 lumens of warm 2700 Kelvin light and is suitable for standard E14 light fixtures.

Can I replace this with an LED bulb?

Yes. LED lamps with the same E14 base are also available, which consume significantly less energy and last longer. See our E14 LED lamps if you want a more energy-efficient option. Please check the dimmability of the LED model separately.

Can this lamp be dimmed?

Yes. A halogen lamp is dimmable with a standard mains voltage dimmer. The light dims steplessly and becomes warmer as it is dimmed, as is typical for halogen lamps.

Can you touch the bulb glass when installing it?

No. Do not touch the bulb glass with bare fingers. Skin oils leave a mark on the glass that heats up during use and shortens its lifespan. Handle the bulb with a cloth or gloves.
