The Osram Haloline Superstar is a powerful double-ended 240-volt R7s halogen lamp that provides a generous 8750 lumens of light for floodlights and other high-output applications. This model is 118 mm long (114.2 mm) and will not fit a 78 mm fixture — please check the length before purchasing. Also, ensure that the fixture is rated for 400 watts of power.

Compatibility and installation
The lamp operates directly on 240 V mains voltage in R7s sockets and does not require a transformer. The halogen is dimmable with a standard dimmer. Please note the length (118 mm, not 78 mm) and ensure that your fixture can handle the 400-watt power and heat.
For lower power needs, R7s LED lamps are also available, but they do not reach the light output of a 400-watt halogen. Warranty terms can be found here.
Installation checklist:
- Measure the R7s length of your fixture — this lamp is 118 mm (does not fit 78 mm fixtures).
- Ensure the fixture is rated for 400 watts of power.
- Turn off the power and let the old lamp cool down — halogen lamps get very hot during use.
- Do not touch the quartz glass with bare fingers and seat the lamp firmly at both ends.
