Osram Haloline Pro is a double-ended 230-volt R7s halogen lamp that provides a generous 1400 lumens of warm 2900 Kelvin light — suitable for floodlights and uplighter floor lamps, for example. This model is 75 mm long (74.9 mm) and does not fit into a 118 mm fixture, so please check the length before ordering. The lamp operates directly on a 230 V mains supply without a transformer.

Compatibility and installation

The lamp operates directly on 230 V mains voltage in R7s sockets and does not require a transformer. The halogen is dimmable with a standard dimmer. Note the length: this is a 75 mm lamp, not 118 mm.

Installation checklist:

  1. Measure the R7s length of your fixture — this lamp is 75 mm (will not fit a 118 mm fixture).
  2. Turn off the power and let the old lamp cool down — halogen lamps get very hot during use.
  3. Do not touch the quartz glass of the lamp with bare fingers; use a cloth or gloves, as skin oils shorten the lifespan.
  4. Securely place the lamp between the holders at both ends.

Which bulb does this replace?

This is an 80-watt R7s halogen lamp (230 V, 75 mm) that replaces a corresponding old R7s halogen. It provides 1400 lumens of warm 2900 Kelvin light and is suitable for, for example, floodlights and floor lamps.

Does this fit all R7s light fixtures?

Suitable if the R7s length of the lamp is 75 mm. R7s lamps also come in a 118 mm length, and they are not interchangeable. Measure your old lamp or check the markings on the fixture before ordering.

Is there an LED alternative for this?

Yes. LED linear lamps are also available for the same R7s base, which consume significantly less energy and generate less heat. Take a look at our R7s LED lamps if you want a more energy-efficient option. Please verify that the length of the LED model matches your fixture.

Can you touch the lamp glass when installing it?

No. Do not touch the lamp's quartz glass with your bare fingers. The oil from your skin leaves a mark on the glass that heats up during use and can shorten its lifespan. Handle the lamp with a clean cloth or wear gloves.
