The Osram Haloline is a traditional R7s double-ended halogen tube in an energy-improved format — 48 watts providing 750 lumens of light output. Suitable for outdoor lighting, work lights, spotlights, and other luminaires with an R7s base. The warm 2900K light creates an atmosphere similar to an incandescent bulb.

Compatibility and installation
Replaces: 60W or older non-energy-rated R7s halogen tubes. Works directly on 230V mains voltage without a transformer. Fits all R7s luminaires with a 78 mm socket length.
Dimming: R7s halogens can be dimmed with a standard phase-cut dimmer, provided the load is within the dimmer's load range. Use a compatible halogen dimmer — do not use an LED dimmer.
R7s socket lengths: R7s lamps are available in several lengths — 78 mm (this one), 118 mm, and 189 mm. Check the luminaire socket length before ordering. A lamp of the wrong length will not fit into the socket.
LED alternative: R7s LED lamps have become common, but ensure they fit the luminaire housing (LED models are often thicker than halogen tubes).
Installation checklist:
- Let the old lamp cool down completely before changing — operating temperature is over 300 °C.
- Do not touch the glass part of the new lamp with bare hands — fingerprints will cause premature cracking of the glass.
- Check that the luminaire socket length is 78 mm — not 118 mm or 189 mm.
- Install by pressing the lamp first into one end and then the other — do not bend the middle of the lamp.
