When a fluorescent tube (T8) is to be replaced by an LED tube for better light quality or operating environment, such as a cold storage room, and a long operating time, an LED tube is the choice. LED tubes are suitable for replacing fluorescent tubes of similar length as such; only the ordinary starter must be replaced with the LED starter included in the package. The 59 cm tube is not suitable for twin-lamp luminaires where the lamps share a common ballast. LED tubes are suitable for luminaires equipped with traditional magnetic ballasts and for direct wiring.
