This P45 (round) E14 halogen bulb provides warm 2700 K light and is suitable for standard E14 fixtures, such as decorative, mirror, and wall lights. The bulb operates directly on 240 V mains voltage and is dimmable with a standard dimmer. If you prefer lower energy consumption, LED bulbs are also available for the same E14 base.

Compatibility and installation

The bulb operates directly on 240 V mains voltage in a standard E14 screw base. The halogen is dimmable with a standard dimmer.

Installation checklist:

  1. Check that the fixture has an E14 screw base.
  2. Turn off the power and allow the old bulb to cool down before replacing it.
  3. Do not touch the glass with bare fingers; use a cloth or gloves.
  4. Screw the bulb into place gently and do not overtighten.

Which bulb does this replace?

This is a 20W P45 E14 halogen bulb, which replaces a corresponding old E14 halogen or low-wattage incandescent bulb. It provides 205 lumens of warm 2700K light and fits standard E14 fixtures.

Can an LED bulb be used instead of this?

Yes. LED bulbs are also available for the same E14 base, which consume significantly less energy and last longer. See E14 LED bulbs if you want a more energy-efficient option. Check the dimmability of the LED model separately.

Can this lamp be dimmed?

Yes. A halogen lamp is dimmable with a standard mains voltage dimmer. The light dims steplessly and becomes warmer when dimmed, as is typical for halogen.

Can the lamp glass be touched during installation?

No. Do not touch the glass of the bulb with bare fingers. Skin oils leave a residue on the glass that heats up during use and shortens the bulb's service life. Handle the bulb with a cloth or gloves.
